Still, I'm starting to see people who enjoy them for they are -- a juicy read without any literary pretensions. I suppose I shall have to see for myself!Jennershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044537551139633301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6689206379659379100.post-86677068980819234792012-07-13T13:09:27.936-05:002012-07-13T13:09:27.936-05:00Of course, I've heard about these books, but d...Of course, I've heard about these books, but didn't know much about them. I'm surprised that they started out as fan fiction and are based on "Twilight" books, which I haven't read. Interesting.

I'm also intrigued by your statement that the erotica "wasn't as frequent or graphic as I feared". From what I heard/read, I assumed it was filled to the brim with "smut". ;) I guess it's relative to what you are expecting.

I hadn't planned on reading these, but your post makes me think these books are not as bad as I suspected. I probably still won't read them, though. Only because I got drawn into the Hunger Games hype and was really disappointed with the first book. That's a bad reason, I know, but right now I don't want to jump on any bandwagon or wade into anything controversial.

It's sad that people who haven't read the books are weighing in with their hateful opinions. That happened with Harry Potter, too. It's a shame.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15577757312285531026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6689206379659379100.post-58267316828085628302012-07-12T20:08:37.682-05:002012-07-12T20:08:37.682-05:00I heard about the books but I don't read often...I heard about the books but I don't read often. I love romance novels and I didn't think I would care for something classified as erotic. I don't need deep details. I don't know if I should try them. I did not read the Twilight books because I don't care for Vampire anything but I have enjoyed the movies.Debby@Just Breathehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11685398064340027809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6689206379659379100.post-43873022869135646712012-07-12T19:32:19.126-05:002012-07-12T19:32:19.126-05:00okay, I'm the one in the literary box, I haven...okay, I'm the one in the literary box, I haven't heard of these......but now I might want to check them out.....thanks for writing your thoughts about it

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6689206379659379100.post-38540748989875116742012-07-12T17:14:37.097-05:002012-07-12T17:14:37.097-05:00Personally I'm the snob category but a lot of ...Personally I'm the snob category but a lot of best sellers aren't great works of literary genius. We all know that. I've not read them because of my own values. I don't want to read about the themes in the book. That, coupled with what I have read online depicting really laughable passages, I know not to bother.Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07337839645455551325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6689206379659379100.post-34142597714032580142012-07-12T17:02:26.734-05:002012-07-12T17:02:26.734-05:00People, can't ever figure them out. Did not know they were the Twilight people! That just means I really won't be reading them. Great post, Tami, well written.Peggy Annhttp://peggyannspost.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
