Two of my favorite things are Christmas and puzzles - so I've combined the two and created a collage of scenes from twenty-four of my favorite Christmas movies, TV specials and Christmas TV episodes. How many can you identify?
Just leave a comment listing the names of the movies and TV shows (no need to identify the specific episode name.) Comment moderation will be turned on temporarily so you can't peek at anyone's answers. The winner will be selected by random drawing of all entries that get all twenty-four correct - or come the closest. The winner will receive a hand-made Christmas ornament.
Entries will remain open till midnight, Monday, December 3rd. Come back on Tuesday, December 4th to find out who won - and to play along on a second puzzle matching quotes from the Christmas movies with the proper title.
Have fun - and have a Merry Christmas!

Hey Tami,
ReplyDeleteThis one was harder, especially since I'm not a huge fan of Christmas movies/TV shows. I didn't get all of them, but I tried and it was fun. In no particular order:
Miracle on 34th Street
Charlie Brown Christmas
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
Home Alone
Green Acres
Oprah's Favorite Things
The Brady Bunch
The Bishop's Wife (Cary Grant, Yum.)
The Dick Van Dyke Show
It's a Wonderful Life
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
A Christmas Carol
The Andy Griffith Show
Jingle All the Way
White Christmas
The Santa Clause
Home Improvement
The West Wing
The Polar Express
Mrs. Miracle
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Thanks! I might not do the next one. It sounds hard.
Well, I can get about 13 right off the bat but there are a few I have zero idea and wouldn't even know how to cheat to find. Good luck Everyone-Else!
ReplyDeleteHappy Advent!
Thanks for contributing to the tour once again. Kelly and I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so good with movies, as I don't watch a whole but is one: Miracle on 23rd street?
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to try to solve this because I know I won't know a lot of them, but it's a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas - and what a lovely idea. I enjoyed looking at the photos, but wouldn't you know it, I blanked out on all the names! I'm at a certain age where this happens frequently now. By Tuesday when the contest closes I should remember them all :-) lol thanks for doing this, it is fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Although, I'm terrible with titles, so I'm not even going to try :)
ReplyDeleteTop row: Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Clause, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, Green Acres, Oprah's Favorite Things [My partner totally shocked me by coming up with this one!]
ReplyDelete2nd row: A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Andy Griffith Show, A Christmas Story, Brady Bunch, The Bishop's Wife, Mrs. Miracle
3rd row: A Christmas Carol, The Polar Express, The Holiday, Christmas with the Kranks, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town
Bottom row: The Dick Van Dyke Show, It's a Wonderful Life, The West Wing, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle All the Way, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
I'm haven't seen that many Christmas movies so I wouldn't be any good at this but I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteSome fun films in there!
ReplyDeleteI loved this idea! I can never remember movie scenes, but I bet the kids would recognize these. We're starting the tradition of watching a Christmas movie almost every night leading up to Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun! I'm terrible at movies, but I think I know four of them. Good luck, everyone!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I'll be working my way through these for a bit. :D
ReplyDeleteI love watching the Holiday movies and generally stay up at night watching one on the Hallmark Channel or ABC Family. My favorite is probably "It's a Wonderful Life!" Thanks for dropping by my virtual advent tour post. Have a very merry Christmas, Kelley at the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so festive!!! I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Christmas puzzle. Sorry I missed it!
We LOVE watching holiday movies at our house. Seriously we love them all. At the top of our list is probably "Elf" and "The Polar Express."
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas season. :)
A great bit of fun here. I enjoyed it even though I was late.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm so behind in blog reading. You I would've loved giving this a try!
ReplyDeleteSo clever! Thank you for this fun!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Virtual Advent: Uff da! Norwegian Fattigmands! I hope you will stop by!
